Hummingbird Standard Tonewoods and Bracing
The 2019 Hummingbird Standard acoustic/electric features the reliable combination of a mahogany body with Sitka spruce top and adds a gorgeous Vintage Cherry Sunburst gloss finish. Sitka spruce is the most popular top wood for steel-string acoustic guitars, beloved for both its projection qualities and broad dynamic range. Just as popular, mahogany is desired for its warm timbre, resonance, sustain, and extra boost on the low end. All of this, combined with traditional hand-scalloped X bracing, makes it a solid choice for fingerpicking leads or chord strumming accompaniment.
'50s Rounded Profile Neck
The 2019 Hummingbird Standard has a mahogany neck with a '50s rounded profile. This means it's slightly fatter than more modern neck designs, making it a more comfortable feel for traditionalists. It's also outfitted with a rosewood fingerboard appointed with traditional mother-of-pearl parallelograms. The TUSQ nut and saddle ensures excellent vibration transfer, while nickel Grover Rotomatic tuning machines will help you keep it in tune longer.?

I received the guitar promptly, it is beautiful the pictures online really don’t do it justice. I’d been in the market for a thinner acoustic electric for a few months and had this guitar and the ibanez thinline in my cart for just as long. The guitar is beautifully crafted and the sounds are wonderful, it really plays and amplifies sound with or without a cord. It does both electric and acoustic well. It’s also incredibly smooth to play. I am in love with my new guitar and happy with my purchase.

This was a gift for my son. He's been playing since he was a child. He is inlove with this guitar. It came packaged well and it perfect shape and its beautiful. He's said it sounds GREAT!

I am a beginner when it comes to playing the guitar. I used to practice back in the day but with a very cheap guitar, caused so much pain with my fingers that I stopped. Decided to get serious about learning and purchase an affordable but yet highly rated guitar. I looked at professional reviews online and this guitar was in the top 10, in fact it was number 2 on the list I reviewed. I am so glad I went ahead and purchased it. It’s so beautiful. I could smell the wood work of the product as soon as I took it out the box. I quickly went ahead and tuned it (it sounds so beautiful) and started doing online lessons. I am happy I decided to go ahead and purchase this item. No disappointment at all. I will definitely recommend this guitar! You wouldn’t be disappointed

Sounds great and full, line output is amazing. The fishman pickup does its work. Great guitar for singer songwriters and even if you perform live.
