Description
The Fender American Professional II Telecaster maple fingerboard electric guitar is the latest evolution of an iconic instrument. Fender has upgraded and improved their flagship Telecaster to meet the demands of today's professional guitarist. New V-Mod II Telecaster single-coil pickups provide the crisp tone that Telecaster guitars are known for, with greater articulation and clarity. The satin-finished maple neck and narrow-tall frets make this an exceptionally comfortable and fast guitar to play.
V-Mod II Pickups: Twang Redefined
The V-Mod II Telecaster pickups are a major upgrade, providing classic Tele tone with tighter bass, richer mids and smoother highs. These articulate pickups make harmonics sing and accentuate the snap and snarl that Telecaster models are famous for. Single notes are round and full, while chordal playing is punchy and defined.
Fast-Playing Maple Neck
The satin-finished maple neck on the American Professional II Telecaster feels slick and fast. The modern deep C-neck profile is comfortable for all playing styles. Narrow-tall frets provide a familiar feel for bends and vibrato while facilitating effortless fretting. The sculpted neck heel allows unimpeded access to the upper frets.
Enhanced Bridge Provides Superior Intonation
The new 3-saddle bridge improves on the original Tele bridge design. Compensated brass saddles provide accurate intonation for all six strings. Players can adjust string height and tension to suit their preferences. This flexible bridge design retains the tone and esthetic of a traditional Telecaster bridge while addressing issues with intonation that plague vintage-style bridges.
Premium Features and Components
Additional features include an alder or roasted pine body, vintage-style tuners and a deluxe molded case. All the electronics, hardware and finishes are crafted to Fender's highest standards for professional-level instruments. The American Professional II Telecaster delivers premium performance and innovation in an instantly familiar package.

Great Telecaster! Classic tones from the pickups, very detailed and crisp. The neck is slightly fatter but still easy on the hands. I did spend a few days dialing in the setup so don't be frustrated if it doesn't feel right immediately. The build is quality but the shipping from California to your local store can affect the wood. For example I had to tighten the nuts on the tuners. I did replace the tuners with locking versions. This ticks all boxes I was looking for including top loading strings, brass saddles, darker maple neck, tall frets, and a treble bleed circuit.

First thing I did was to change the strings, I like heavy strings, other than that I love this guitar!

My reason for giving a review is , I always stayed away from these 3 saddle bridges . Then I found this pro model with it . When I played it the intonation was almost a perfect set up . Dont be afraid to check this thing out . It does sound like a Telecaster . It sounds very professional and clear . Fender hit a homerun with this compensated bridge and the Vmod pickups . The fit finish and workmanship on mine is an almost perfect guitar .

This guitar feels great, fit and finish are excellent, very playable. The deep C neck is noticeably different than a modern C (I have a couple) and to my hand is even better. If you are coming from a player or standard, another difference you may notice are the frets. Narrow tall on this one, medium jumbo on the player/standard. Medium jumbo are a bit smoother when sliding but narrow tall for me are like a landmark. I know how far I'm going, if not instinctively, then by feel. The setup off the wall was good. I only tweaked the truss rod a bit, as I do with every guitar, no other adjustments. The pickups to my ear are a bit sterile and will be changed. The bridge does have a proper tele spank in the highs but the mids are underwhelming across the board. And the push-push to have the pickups in series saps the treble considerably. I considered returning/exchanging at length but everything else about the guitar, especially the neck, is just that good. I'll change pickups and call it a day. Also note this butterscotch version has a pine body and is especially lightweight.

I've had one for about 1.5 years. It's a very raw guitar that inspires me when I play. The tone is fantastic and the neck plays great. I replaced the tortoiseshell with a black pickguard which I think looks better. I also added Fender locking tuners for easier string installation. One thing to note is that it has rolled edges on the neck which can be quite slippy for the two E strings, especially the top one. I've had to adjust my playing to account for this. I can't speak enough about the tone. The guitar sounds amazing. One of my favorite guitars.

I'm not a professional player, but I have owned lots of Les Paul's, Strats, Schecters, and other guitars. By far this is the best, flawless, plays like a dream, sounds absolutely fantastic. Rolled edges on fretboard are to die for. It's feels like it was made just for me. Perfect !!!

I've wanted to upgrade to a 3 saddle Tele for years. So glad that I did! The neck is very similar to my strat and plays great, but better yet the tone is phenomenal!!

This is the first time I've ever bought a new guitar that didn't need a set up. Played perfect out the box, pickups sound great, neck feels great, and the case is top tier. My first telecaster and I'm very impressed.
